Pretty Yum Thing Face Lotion - Retail Value $10

This smells really great. A lot of the kid’s products like this that I was used to when I was a child smelled really artificial and cheap which is certainly not the case here. I am so in love with the smell and that is it all-natural.

Sequin Headband – Retail Value $14

This headband was so adorable, I almost wanted it for myself, except it is way too small for me.

Bohemian Friendship Bracelet – Retail Value $12

These bracelets are always in style and I was really happy to see this in the box.

ibbeautiful review subscription box Sticky Tabs – Retail Value $6

These were so adorable. I wasn’t sure what they were at first (they hold your place in your book), but with such cute characters – who cares?

Thoughts: There were also mustache nail decals in the box which were not originally a part of this box, but a part of their other age group box that I was not able to get a picture of. Overall, I am impressed with the value and products in the box. My co-worker’s step-daughter is the little lady who helped me review the box and she was so excited about everything in the box. She said everything was great and she could not wait to use everything (she put the bracelet on right away and was trying to figure out what to do with the nail decals before realizing what they were.)

The ladies from IBbeautiful have also kindly offered to give away a box to one lucky reader! Just fill out the entries below!

Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo – Retail Value $10?  find anything on the website

I am completely making up a value here because I couldn’t see a value anywhere. This shadow is infused with coconut and has a very nice pigmentation according to swatches I’ve seen (I didn’t swatch it myself because I think I may give this to a friend instead since I have a ton of shadow already)

Olive Natural Beauty Rosemary Lip Balm – Retail Value $5.95

I am on lip balm overload and this will be given away, but I love the idea of a rosemary balm for summer.

Thoughts: This month was the perfect bag to help with preparing for the summer by providing extra hydrating products and essential SPF. I am really happy with my bag this month! What did you think about the May 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag?

Healthy Surprise Review May 2014

healthy surprise review

It’s been a while since I’ve done a review for Healthy Surprise and I was getting a little hungry, so i thought this would be a great time to give them another try!

Alice and Radiant Foods Kale Crunch - Retail Value $5.99

Kale chips are my favorite. I was so excited to see these that I ripped open the bag almost right away.

healthy surprise review

Inka Crops Plantain Chips – Retail Value $2

I love these chips! They are tasty and much more filling than regular chips.

Enjoy Life Plentils – Retail Value $3.99

I couldn’t quite place the taste of these chips, but they are really addictive.

healthy surprise review

Lemon Pie Coco-Roons – Retail Value $7.99

I liked these lemon macaroons, but it kind of tasted like they were heavy-handed with lemon extract. I would have liked to have abit more of a fresher lemon taste to them.

Farmer’s Crate Mango Thins – Retail Value $3.99

These made a great office snack. I loved how thin and crispy the mango was. It had a bit of tartness which was fantastic.

healthy surprise review

The One Bar in Apple – Retail Value $1

Peter Rabbit Organics Strawberry and Banana – Retail Value $1.44

My daughter’s favorite snack to get. She was thrilled to see this in the box.

healthy surprise review

Olomomo Cherry Vanilla Dream Almonds – Retail Value $2.50

I am obsessed with these almonds. I need to figure out how they get them so tasty.

Taza Mexican Chocolate – Retail Value $5

This makes excellent hot chocolate! I will probably save this for a rainy day.

healthy surprise review

Enjoy Life Seed and Fruit Mountain Mambo – Retail Value $1.33

I seem to get this snack in my box every time I get Healthy Surprise. I don’t mind because I love the salty dried fruit and nut mix!

Lady Jane Toasted Hemp Seeds - Retail Value $2.89

Hemp seeds are a crunchy fun snack. These were good, but the outer skin kept getting stuck in my teeth. Out of the different hemp seed brands I’ve tried, it’s not my favorite.

Thoughts: I love the snacks I get in my Healthy Surprise box, but I always feel as though the full price of the box is a little inflated, so whenever you can get a deal on the box, it is great!

This is such a pretty Spring color. My mother already claimed it for herself !

LaSplash Hyrdo Liquid Shadow in Dynamic - Retail Value $9.98

LaSplash Eyeshadow Sealer/Base – Retail Value $8.98

I got this in my Glossybox and was really excited to try it out. I haven’t had a chance to use it, but if it is good, I will certainly keep this!

angel beauty box review april Le’Angelique Styling Comb – Retail Value $9.99

I love these styling combs. I’ve been using them for years. They help get your hair straighter and faster when using the straightening iron. I actually just bought one from Birchbox with my points, but it is nice to have a backup!

Le’Angelique Wonder Curler – Retail Value $29.95

I am nervous about heated anything near my eyes, but I am too curious about how this works to not give it a try!

Thoughts: The total value of the box was great at just under $65. I liked a couple of the products, but I am always a little disappointed to see several products from one or two brands. Overall, it was a good box and I am happy with it.

Yum. I never heard of such a combination, but I am going to make some fresh pretzels to pair with this dip !

Sticky Fingers Raspberry White Chocolate Scones – Retail Value $5.99

These scones were unbelievably soft – more like biscuits. I would have liked more raspberry and white chocolate, but overall, super delicious!

Himilayan Salt Block - Retail Value $16.95

I’ve wanted to get a salt block for the longest time, so I am beyond thrilled to have one now. I think I want a second so I can use one for hot items and one for cold because I heard once you heat it, it loses some of its “power.”

Thoughts: The total value of this box was just over $43, but there were only 5 items, so I am wondering if maybe one of the products was missing from my box. Despite the value, I am really happy with this box and I think it made a great Mother’s Day gift to myself and I think it is a nice Mother’s Day Gift for anyone else who enjoys good food.

PopSugar Must Have Review May 2014

popsugar must have subscription box It’s that time (not THAT time) of the month again! I always get excited to see my PopSugar Must Have subscription box at my door when I get home from work. PopSugar Must Have Day is definitely my favorite day of the month! popsugar must have subscription box The Cost: $39.95 a month

I’ve been using it non-stop around the clock since getting it. I have a few similar bottles, but this is my favorite so far!

Hi, I’m Skinny Sticks in Multi-Grain Sweet Onion – Value $4 This was the best tasting snack I’ve ever had. I’ve already swapped with a few people to get their bags. I don’t think I could ever get enough of this snack. popsugar must have subscription box Obessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer in Pool Boy – Value $10 I love how fun this color is, and the name is really suited for the color.

Smell Bent St. Tropez Dispenser – Retail Value $45 This scent is very sporty, which isn’t usually the kind of scent I go for, but I kind of like the way this smells. popsugar must have subscription box Tone It Up One Day Fat Blast – Value $10 I had no idea they had their own show. I followed  their blog and youtube videos for a while, but slacked a bit since starting my new job last year. I am excited to have this DVD because I know that I loved their workouts before and I expect this video to be just as great!

Kerry Cassill Eye Mask – Value $24 I was not excited to see this in the box. It was at the very top of all the products and I thought it may have been put in there by mistake. I was even more surprised at the price tag. This is the only time I’ve been disappointed in an item included in the PopSugar Must Have Box. I just don’t feel as though an item like this should be included in the overall value of the box, and should instead be a bonus item.

Thoughts: Overall, I am fairly happy with my box, but for me, it is not as good as previous boxes. I completely love the snack and Citrus Zinger.  The nail polish is really nice too. What really makes the box not great for me is the eye mask, which bothers me – probably more than it should.

Wantable Accessory Review May 2014

wantable accessory box review

I am always so excited to get my Wantable boxes in the mail. My absolute favorite Wantable Co. box is their accessories box. I am always really happy with everything I get. In fact, out of all their box choices, I think this is the only one I’ve always been 100% happy with!

I love the warm tones and geometric pattern, it is very tribal which is great for Spring/Summer.

Claudine Earrings – Retail Value $14

I have a blue shirt that matches this perfectly. These are simple and elegant which is really nice for work. The way the “stone” is cut make sit look really sparkly when you wear it which I think is really nice.

Mallory Scarf - retail Value $24

I love scarves, so I was really happy to be seeing this in my box. I love everything about it. The mixture of colors is gorgeous and it is lightweight and super soft. It’s my favorite item in the box.

Banded Geometric Headband - Retail Value $9.98

This was actually missing from my box, but they were quick to send it to me once I notified them. It arrived only two days after emailing them! It holds well on your hair and again, I think the pattern is really great for the season!

Thoughts: I am super pleased with this box and don’t really have any criticisms. It is always a little bit of a letdown when you are missing a product, but they handled it so well, that I can completely overlook it. One of the reasons Wantable is one of my favorite subscription boxes is because of their customer service and their happiness guarantee (which allows you to return your box back for a 100% refund if you are ever unhappy with your box). The products this month were great and definitely my taste

Plie Wand – Retail Value $25

This wand is meant to help make it more comfortable to polish your nails on both hands for a more professional and controlled manicure. I tried it once and it took a while to figure out the best way to hold it for polishing with my non-dominant hand and it was a lot easier. I love that they included brushes to use on other polishes, but the bristles look and feel very plastic-y and many of the bristles were already bent out of shape.

julep maven review may

Bess (Mystery Polish Add-on) – Retail Value $14

I was a little disappointed to see that this was my mystery color because it is strikingly close in color to Jeanna.

Laree (Add-on) – Retail Value $14

I chose this as an add-on because the color is beautiful, and looks even better on. I’ve already used it for my manicure and pedicure and love it.

Paulette - Retail Value $14

This is not as shimmery as I thought it would be, but it is still very pretty and really nice for Spring.

Jeanne – Retail Value $14

I love the cool blue tone – it reminds me of a bright Spring sky.

Thoughts: When I first heard about the Plie wand, I did not really know if it was all it was hyped up to be, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. The colors this month were also really great and perfect for the weather.

Raw Revolution Chunky Peanut Butter Bar – Retail Value $1.80

This bar was really tasty. It had a nice balance of peanut butter which is nice because many bars go a little overboard with the peanut butter.

I was really looking forward to this cookie, but was a little disappointed because there was something about the taste that was off.

IPS Egg White Chips in Barbecue and Aged White Cheddar - Retail Value $1.75 each

I was really intrigued by these chips. Initially, I thought they were made from just egg white, but this is not the case, it is also made with corn. They are full of flavor and I love them.

pijonbox review

Biotera Dry Shampoo – Retail Value $7.99

I like that the dry shampoo is easier to use in the spray can which makes it easier to use. I also really liked the scent.

Dry Soda Vanilla Bean – Retail Value $1.25

This was so good, I had a hard time accepting when I drank the last of it. My only issue with the soda is that it goes flat very fast.

Thoughts: In terms of value, the box does great at just under $50. I thought the box was very heavy on the snacks and I would have liked to replace one of the snacks with another small lifestyle product or something to celebrate the end of finals. Otherwise, I am pretty happy with the box. What did you think about the May Pijon Box?
