Bergdorf Goodman Glossybox May 2014 (Double Box review)

glossybox review

For some reason, I received two boxes from Glossybox last month. I offered to return the second box, but they said I was able to keep it. It was a really great box. so I was more than happy to keep both!

The product cards.

glossybox 1

Lancer Eye Contour Lifting Cream
ReVive Intensité Volumizing Eye Serum

I love how this works. I notice instant results with it, but it is super expensive, so I will probably not purchase it on my own.

glossybox 2

Alternia Cavair CC Cream

I received this in a Sample Society box a few months back and loved it! I was so happy to get another sample because it goes back quickly with my thick hair.

Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer

This makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. I like to wear it alone sometimes just for the way it feels.

glossybox 3

Chantecaille Luminous Gloss

I love the color and shine of this gloss!

Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolue

This is very floral which I like, but it has a slight heavy, but not quite musky note in it that isn’t really for me.

glossybox 4

Lancome Absolute L’Extracit Regenerating Ultimate Elixir

Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolue

Revive Eye Renewal Serum Firming Booster

Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer

glossybox4

 Lancer Eye Contour Lifting Cream

This is another one of those really expensive products that I adore, but can never afford to purchase. It works amazingly.

Philip B Light-Weight Deep Conditioning Creme Rinse

We received Philip B products a few months back, so I am thinking a few boxes got this product because they ran out of everything else. It does not make an appearance in most of the other reviews from other blogs for this box. I like their products a lot, so I don’t mind.

Thoughts: The quality and value of the boxes is incredible. Definitely my favorite Glossybox month out of the year I’ve been getting their boxes. What I love about Glossybox is that it is the best way to try the very high-end products for next to nothing. If there is something you don’t like (such as the perfume in this box for me), it is very easy to gift or trade.

Bellapierre Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Vanilla Pink - Retail Value $24.50 (Full-Size!)

This is a little sticky for my liking, but the smell is okay and the sheer color is nice too.

LASplash Cosmetics Eyeshadow Sealer/Base – Retail Value $8.98 (Full-Size!)

My sister recently took my eyeshadow primer, so I am really excited to have a chance to give this a try. It is less expensive than the primer I currently use, so this would be great if it works out!

Ciate Nail Polish in Kaftan – Retail Value $15 (Fill-Size!)

I love this color! It is so bright and very shimmery – perfect for the warm weather. I already used it for my pedicure.

Thoughts: This was a really great box this month. I loved a lot of the products and most of the products were full-size! The total value was just under $60 which is great considering how much the box costs. Overall, I am super happy with my April Glossybox – What did you think?

Glossybox Review March 2014 Beauty Subscription Box

glossybox march review

I finally got my March 2014 Glossybox and I was so excited when I opened up the box. The first thing I noticed was a very heavy scent. I saw some of the spoilers for the box and already suspected what the smell was.

Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask  .38 oz Retail Value $36

I was so excited to get this product. This was one of the products everyone is getting in their box and I am really happy about that because the full-size product is out of most people’s price range so it’s nice to be able to try something like this. I love the scent and my skin felt incredible after using it!

Nails Inc in Brook St – Retail Value $3

I love Nails Inc polish colors and their names. I still use my Baker St polish from the June box and this will be a nice addition to my collection!

glossybox march 2014 review

Etre Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel  Retail Value $17.80 (Full-Size!)

I love this scrub! It is super exfoliating, but still really gentle on your lips. They get them baby soft and I am a little addicted to using this product now.

Bamboo Volume Plumping Strand Expand .85 fl oz Retail Value $4.65

I won’t be using this because my hair is already super thick, so this will be given away.

glossybox march 2014 review

Alex and Ani SCENT7 Soap Bar - Retail Value $14 (Full-size!)

The scent of this bar is really strong! Everyone seems to love this scent, but I am not a huge fan.

glossybox march 2014 review

Alex and Ani Swan Charm Bracelet in Russian Silver – Retail Value $28

This was a bonus item in the boxes and I am so in love with it. I have only taken it off for showers, otherwise it is on my wrist along with my Dogeared necklace from PopSugar.

Thoughts: This box was a total win for me. The value was over $100 and I love almost every single product. This is one of my favorite boxes from Glossybox so far. I wish I bought a second box for my mother because she fell in love with all the same products.

Glossybox Review February 2014 and Coupon Code!

glossybox reviews

The February Glossybox arrived a little later than usual. I almost forgot that I did not receive my Glossybox until it arrived at my door. I saw a few spoilers and reviews, so I knew what to expect, still, it is always nice to see everything in person to really decide how you feel about a box!

glossybox reviews Anatomicals Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer Wake Up Under Eye Patches - Retail Value $11 (Full-Size!)

I love Anatomicals as a brand. I have not used their under eye patches before, so I am really excited to try them out. If you are not a fan of the brand, however, I don’t know how exciting this product may be.

glossybox reviews Lauren B. Beauty Nail Couture Polish in City of Angels - Retail Value $18 (Full-Size!)

I collect nail polish, so to get a new color is always exciting and I don’t  have any pinks in this shade just yet. It would be a great color to wear during Breast Cancer Awareness month! The fact that it is vegan is just the cherry on top.

Pureology Serious Colour Care Multi-Tasking Hair Beautifier for Color-Treated Hair - Retail Value $3.50

I recently colored my hair so I was really happy to get a chance to try this spray.

glossybox reviews Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Tinted Lip Balm Tube  – Retail Value $9 (Full-Size!)

We got this lip gloss in our August boxes (or maybe July). I love the way it smells and my sister took my other gloss, so I am okay with getting a repeat item.

Sumita Beauty Kala Color Intense Pencil - Retail Value $15 (Full-Size!)

I’ve read some really great reviews for this eyeliner so I really cannot wait to try this out.

Thoughts: This box had almost all full-size products and a lot of really nice brands. I am really happy that they are including international brands more frequently – I am guessing because of their presence in so many different countries. It really makes me miss living abroad!

Glossybox Review January 2014 – Beauty Subscription Box

glossybox january 2014

I recently bought a 6-month subscription through Living Social because they had such a good deal. I was really happy to get that deal because the spoilers for January looked amazing. I actually received this box a while ago, but since launching my food blog (A Cookie Named Desire), I’ve been really behind on my reviews.

Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturizing Spray (2.5 oz) – Retail Value $7

I’ve always thought about trying a sea salt spray in my hair, but a.) I straighten my hair b.) My hair frizzes at even the mention of moisture. I will probably gift this to someone else.

Balance Me Super Toning Wash (1.7 oz) – Retail Value $7

I love the smell and I always need more body wash, so this is a win for me.

glossybox january 2014

Vichy Aqualia Thermal (0.5 oz) – Retail Value $9.30

I was excited to try the Vichy, but I really do not like the smell. Something about it does not sit well with me. I will have to gift this.

Bella Pierre Mineral Cosmetics Mineral Blush in Desert Rose - Retail Value $20 (Full Size!)

I love the color of this blush and I really like Bella Pierre products, so I am happy to get this in the box.

glossybox january 2014

Beauty Blender Pure and Travel Cleanser – Retail Value $20
The whole reason I was excited to get this box is because of the Beauty Blender. I already have a few of them, but I like to stock up on things I like, so that is my excuse for not gifting this.

Thoughts: Overall, I really liked this box. Two items will be gifted, but the products I am keeping are ones that I absolutely love. The main reason I wanted this box was because of the Beauty Blender, so even if everything else was a dud, I probably wouldn’t mind as much.

Glossybox Review and Giveaway December 2013 – Beauty Subscription Box

glossybox review and giveaway

Glossybox is one of my favorite monthly beauty subscription boxes, so when they kindly offered me a box to review I had to say yes. What I liked about the spoilers I read about the December box was that a lot of the products were from some of my favorite British brands.

Naobay Oxygenating Moisturizing Cream (30mL / 1.01 fl oz) – Retail Value $19.70

I never tried Naobay products before but I love that it is all-natural, organic and ultra-hydrating.

Nails Inc London Victoria (10mL/ 0.33fl oz) – Retail Value $9.50

I love the deep red color of Victoria. It is really pretty for winter months and I am a fan of the formula as well.

Anatomicals You Need a Blooming Shower (150 mL / 5fl oz)- Retail Value $2.72

This is one of my favorite brands from when I was back in the UK. This is also rose-scented so I was really happy to see this in the box!

Thoughts: This was a great Glossybox this month! I appreciated that everything is suitable for the winter months. The value of the box is over $50 which is really great.

I love the shade of this lip gloss. It is such a pretty pink, but goes on pretty sheer.

I love that Nuxe is made from natural ingredients. I can’t wait to use it!

Butter London Nail Polish in Henley Regatta – Retail Value $15 (Full-Size!)

This is my first Butter London polish which is pretty shocking! I love the shade and the amount of glitter. I feel so festive wearing it!

Philip B Chai Latte Soul & Body Wash - 2 oz Retail Value $8

This is such a great winter scent and is gender neutral enough for everyone to use!

Thoughts: This box was amazing! Certainly one of the best holiday boxes I’ve seen so far. I only paid $30 for it (I waited for it to go on sale) and received over $150 in products – most of them full size! The boxes are now all sold out otherwise I would have bought more to give as gift sets. This box had a great mix of gifts and things for myself. I originally intended for the box to be a gift for someone, but there were just too many products I wanted to keep for myself! I’ve already bought that person an awesome replacement gift so that should make up for it!

Glossybox Review September 2013 – Beauty Subscription Box

I’ve been anxiously awaiting my Glossybox and could not wait to see what was there once I opened it. I purposefully did not look at many spoilers because I really wanted to be surprised after I heard we would be getting full-sized products.

The Cost: $21 a month

The Products: Glossybox ships out a selection of high-end beauty products and occasional lifestyle products. You can read my past Glossybox reviews here.

BCBGMAXAZRIA Bon Genre Eau de Parfum – Value $11
Be a Bombshell Eyeliner in Onyx – Value $14

I was not the biggest fan of the Oscar de la Renta perfumes in the June Glossybox – some of the scents were nice, but most were not for me. I was so pleased to find that I love this perfume! I’ve worn it twice already and every time I’ve been impressed with how much I like how it smells.

My first experience with Be a Bombshell eyeliners was from my September Lip Factory box. The eyeliner goes on smoothly and has nice staying power throughout the day which is something that is a struggle with my oily skin.

Emite Makeup Eyelash Curler – Value $30.50

I’ve been hoping for one of my boxes to include an eyelash curler, so I was ecstatic when I saw this in my box! $30 for an eyelash curler is a little out of my price bracket, so I am doubly happy to be able to try something like this at a fraction of the cost.

Nioxin diamax Treatment – Value $50
Oceane – Makeup Remover Pen – Value $5.30

This was the feature item in the box this month and unfortunately, this will also be a gift item from me. I have a head of very thick hair with tons of volume I struggle to control, so I do not need anything that is supposed to help give you a fuller looking head of hair.

They recommend using this as a way to touch up makeup mishaps, such as when perfecting a cat eye. I am one of those people who tends to make a few mistakes when doing my makeup, so this will definitely come in handy!

Thoughts: I think this is one of my favorite Glossyboxes to-date! I will use almost all of the products in the box and have a really awesome Christmas gift for someone else. The Eyelash curler and perfume are the biggest hits for me with the Oceane coming in close behind.

What did you think of the September Glossybox? Which was your favorite product?
