Pur-lisse Puree-Moist Moisturizer – Retail Value $16.50

I received a Pur-lisse moisturizer in my Total Beauty Collection Mother’s Day box that my mother loves. I am excited to have a sample all to myself.

I was really excited to get some SPF in my bag because you can never have too much!

Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo – Retail Value $10?  find anything on the website

I am completely making up a value here because I couldn’t see a value anywhere. This shadow is infused with coconut and has a very nice pigmentation according to swatches I’ve seen (I didn’t swatch it myself because I think I may give this to a friend instead since I have a ton of shadow already)

Olive Natural Beauty Rosemary Lip Balm – Retail Value $5.95

I am on lip balm overload and this will be given away, but I love the idea of a rosemary balm for summer.

Thoughts: This month was the perfect bag to help with preparing for the summer by providing extra hydrating products and essential SPF. I am really happy with my bag this month! What did you think about the May 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag?

Demeter Fragrance Roll-on Perfume in Jasmine – Retail Value $10

I’ve wanted to get a Demeter scent in my bag for the longest time, so I was ecstatic to finally see one in my bag! I love florals, so jasmine was a great scent for me.

ipsy review april 2014

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide On Eye Pencil in Black – Retail Value $6.33

I’ve been using this line of eyeliner since college and I absolutely love it! This was another big win for me.

City Color White Gold Shadow & Highlight Mousse- Retail Value $3.99 (Full-Size!)

I love how shimmer this is and the formula is very creamy, but not too thick.

ipsy review april 2014

Mary Kay @ Play Jelly Lip Gloss in Berry Me – Retail Value $10 (Full-Size!)

I was surprised to see a Mary Kay product in the bag. I have not tried their lip glosses yet, so I am excited to test it out.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfolliant – Retail Value $9.75

I tend to get a lot of Dr Brandt products in my boxes, but I don’t mind because I love his products and think they are really effective.

ipsy review april 2014

Benefit High Beam – Retail Value $26

This was the bonus item I chose for this month. I thought it was going to be a sample, but was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a full-size product!

Thoughts: This was perhaps the best Ipsy Glam Bag I’ve received so far. I received two products from two of my favorite brands, plus everything else was great too. The only way the bag could have been better were if I also received a Rainbow Honey nail polish in the bag. The bag was valued at over $40 (not including the bonus item), so the price value is definitely there too.

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready - Retail Value $9
This color is so pretty! I was a few looks on Instagram featuring this lipstick and it looked great on everyone. It is a very soft, natural pink shade which I think I will end up loving because I do not wear bold lips very often.

ipsy review march

Chella Indigo Blue Eyeliner - Retail Value $24

I love Chella thanks to Ipsy. I was happy to find this in my bag and I absolutely love the color. I have been experimenting with colored liners and the blues and purples seem to look the best on me.

ipsy review march

NYX Love in Rio Eye Shadow - Retail Value $6

I actually already have this pallete, so I will passing this on to my mother who has been wanting some new eye shadow.

Pixi Beauty Flawless Beauty Primer - Retail Value $9

I’ve been wanting to try more Pixi products and a primer is always a good product to get. I cannot wait to try this out!

Thoughts: The total value of the March 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag was about $48. I liked a few of these products a lot, but I would have rather have swapped the NYX shadow and the lipstick for the Be a Bombshell Bora Bora shadow and Pacifica body butter. Still, this bag is definitely worth what I paid which is what I love about Ipsy.

I don’t use leave-in conditioner a lot, but I always put some in my daughter’s hair and am in the search for the best product for her. So far, Beauty Protector is my favorite. I am excited to see how this stacks up.

Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow Creamy Eye Pencil in Penny  - Retail Value $7

I really like experimenting with different eye pencil colors, so I am going to have a lot of fun trying out this copper tone.

Faith Aromatherapy Tahitian Monoi Anti-Aging Sugar Scrub (29.5 mL / 1 fl oz ) – Retail Value $1.52

I love trying out different body scrubs and I am interested to see how this works as an anti-aging body scrub.

I always keep lotion on-hand where ever I go, so I am really happy to get this in my bag. I also love the rose scent!

Mica Beauty Tinted Lip Balm in Natural (2.5 g) – Retail Value $18.75

Ipsy tends to send me a lot of bright pink and red lipsticks and balms, so I was really pleased to see the natural shade in my bag since this is much more my style.

Bonus Item: Kiss Salon Secrets Nail Art Starter Kit - Retail Value $20

This month I chose the nail art starter kit as my bonus item because I love everything having to do with nail art! I took a brief look at the kit and they have some nail art designs for you to try and advice from nail art pros!  (You can get a bonus item in your bag by referring people and filling out your surveys about your products)

Thoughts: I am really happy with my Ipsy bag overall. I was extremely happy with it until I realized there was a chance to get a Benefit product. The leave-in condition will be handy with my daughter and I am already trying out my eye pencil and face lotion.

What items did you get in your Ipsy Glam Bag this month? What did you think?

J.Cat The Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha - Retail Value $3.99

I was hoping to get the J.Cat lip pencil because my only experience with J.Cat was their body glitter.

Nicka K New York Nail Lacquer in Ripe Apple - Retail Value $4.99

At first I was not that excited to see the Nicka K in my Glam Room, but I am actually glad to have it because I noticed I did not have enough reds in my nail polish collection.

ipsy review december

Be a Bombshell The One Stick in Sunset - Retail Value $16

The One Stick is meant for eyes, lips and cheeks. The texture is a little too thick for me to want to wear as an eyeshadow, but this will make a nice blush stick.

Ipsy review december

Pop Beauty Bright Up Your Life Eye Shadow Trio Naturally Bare – Retail Value $7.20

I love these colors so much. My family recently raided my eye shadow collection, so I am really happy to get this. The shadow has a nice pigmentation and is great for the work week.

Mirabelle Eye Blender Brush – Retail Value $27

This is hands down the best eye shadow brush I’ve ever tried in my life. I do not exaggerate here either. The brush is super soft, picks up the color beautifully and the application is flawless. I first tried it with the Pop Beauty eye shadow, but using it with other shadows, I had the same amazing coverage and blending with minimal effort. I am considering buying more brushes from this brand!

ipsy review december

Bonus Item Beauty Blender and Blender Cleanser - Retail Value $20?

I love my Beauty Blender from the June PopSugar, and when it recently formed a rip from overzealous squeezing, I jumped ont he chance to get another from Ipsy!

Thoughts: This was a really great month for Ipsy. The total value of the box without the bonus item was just over $59! I love my Ipsy Glam Bags because even if you don’t always get items you love, the value is always incredible for what you pay for!

Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil in Topaz - Retail Value $14 (Full Size!)

I am not much of a yellow eyeliner person, but I think I can really work this color. I am excited to try it out!

I love Starlooks products and this color is just so pretty. I will be testing this out very soon.

Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damnn – Retail Value $14 (Full Size!)

Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail in Caviar Cocktail - Retail Value $13 (Full Size!)

Thanks to subscription boxes, I pretty much own the entire Be a Bombshell line. I love their products, so I am more than happy to add to that collection!

This silver color is just too pretty for the holidays, I can’t wait to try it out! I love getting Nailtini polishes because you get so much polish for your dollar.

Pixi Bronzer in Summertime – Value $5

BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chick Baked Eye Shadow in Neptune - Value $2

I don’t really wear bronzer, but I’ve been dying to try it out I will have to see what this looks like on. I love that it isn’t too shimmery because I prefer to keep my glitter around my eyes and on my nails!

I seriously would have been happy with any of the Galaxy Chic colors. I love them all! I am really glad they have a discount for Ipsy subscribers because I need all the colors in my life now!

Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara

This was the beauty extra I chose for this bag. You can get extras two ways: refer people and/or review the products you get each month. Referring people gets you 250 points per person and reviews are 20 points each. You need 1000 points to redeem a beauty extra. Benefit is one of my favorite makeup brands, so when I saw this I had to choose it! By the way, I just saw they have a mini beauty blender cleanser and a beauty blender as a beauty extra option!

Thoughts: Almost every single product was full-size and the products that weren’t were very generously sized. In total, there was almost $70 in product – not including my beauty extra. This is a real steal for only $10. Ipsy has been having some really great months lately so I hope they keep up momentum!

Ipsy Review October 2013 – Beauty Subscription Box

This Autumn season, I’ve come to terms with getting my boxes super late and have come to appreciate it as an opportunity to see how awesome everyone’s boxes are. I find it really helps get me even more excited when I do get my bags! This month’s theme is The Art of Beauty.

The Cost: $10 a month, including shipping

The Products: Ipsy offers a selection of full- and sample-sized beauty products. Each bag is tailored to you based on your style profile and your reviews of past boxes. You can read my past Ipsy reviews here.

be Delectable Hand Cream from Cake Beauty in Coconut Cream – Value $2.50
Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel- Value $3

I was really hoping for the be Delectable hand cream in my bag so I was beyond excited to see it in my bag. Huge bonus points for the fact that it is coconut – one of my favorite scents!

I was not as thrilled about the Sexy Hair product. I have not tried it yet, but I am hoping that it isn’t truly volumizing because that is the last thing my super thick hair needs! I’ll be noting this in my review, so hopefully I won’t get any more products like this.

Zoya Nail Polish in Giovanna – Value $8
Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Dolly – Value $9

I was so excited about getting Zoya in our bags this month and honestly, I wanted all the colors! I can’t wait to use this in a Christmas-themed nail art!

So many people recommend Buxom, but I’ve only tried a few of their products – none of them lip products – so I am really excited to try this. It is also a shade that is very much my style which makes me even more excited to try it out!

La Fresh Oil-Free Face Cleanser – Value $3

I have a small collection of La Fresh wipes that I use regularly. I keep them at my office desk, in my purse and around my house. They are just so handy for touch-ups and those nights I don’t feel like doing a thorough face wash.

Thoughts: This bag was a pretty big hit overall for me. I was only disappointed in one product, but everything else will be going to good use. I can’t wait to start using everything! I don’t know if you noticed, but they also recently updated their bonus shop. You can choose from Benefit Bad Gal mascara, Kitsch hair ties or the NYX Bronze Smokey Eye look.

What do you think about the October Ipsy bag? What did you get in yours?
