Baked Sweet Potato Fries – Retail Value $4 each

I am not sure how I feel about these. They have a nice sweetness to them, but are slightly spicy. They are great for dipping, but I would not recommend eating them on their own.

Pear Praline Crunch – Retail Value $4 each

The praline crunch is absolutely delicious. It reminds me a little of blueberry Pop Tarts with the frosting.

Dark Cocoa Almonds – Retail Value $4 each

This snack was the first to go.  I normally don’t like dark chocolate, but these were fantastic.

I chose this because it is a staple snack in our house and Naturebox didn’t disappoint in how delicious their version is.

Bonus Snack: Mighty Mix – Retail Value $4

I love that Naturebox occasionally includes a bonus snack for you to try. I really liked the variety in this mix and would definitely try it again!

Thoughts: Naturebox has always been my favorite snack subscription box. I really enjoy trying out all the different snacks they offer. Even if some of the snacks are not for me, I usually end up finding one or two I fall in love with.

What are your thoughts on Naturebox? What is your favorite Naturebox snack?

NatureBox Review October 2013 – Snack Subscription Box

I always get excited when I see my NatureBox at my door! NatureBox is my favorite snack subscription box because they are nutritionist-approved and they give you enough snacks to really last you a while!

The Cost: $29.99 a month for the Family Snacker (2 bags of 5 different snacks)

The Products: NatureBox makes their own nutritionist-approved snacks. Right now you can have them pick your snacks or you can choose your own! You can read my past NatureBox reviews here.

Dried Pears – Value $4 each

I was so happy to get dried pears as a bonus snack! I loved them except for the fact that seeds and stems were still in many of the slices of pear.

Santa Fe Corn Stix – Value $4 each

These were tangy and full of flavor. They definitely had the not-good-for-you taste, while still maintaining nutritional value.

Salted Caramel Pretzel Pops – Value $4 each

I was the most excited to try the Salted Caramel Pretzels, but as it turns out, they were my least favorite in this box. The caramel was just too artificial tasting and it was way too salty! I don’t think I will be trying these again any time soon.

Pistachio Power Clusters – Value $4 each

I think these were good. I only have a couple before my family devoured the rest!

Mexicana Mango – Value $4 each

I love dried mangoes and these were phenomenal!

Big Island Pineapple – Value $4 each

I got the pineapples before and they were so good, I had to get more. I just wish they had more pineapples in the bag.

Thoughts: I loved so many of my snacks this month! I just hope they can fix the caramel pretzel pops because they have the potential of being amazing with a bit of tweaking!

What do you think of NatureBox? Which is your favorite snack ?

Naturebox Review September 2013 – Healthy Snack Subscription

Naturebox is one of my favorite snack subscriptions. The portions are generous and the snacks are usually pretty tasty. I also love that the company now also allows you to choose your snacks!

The Cost: $29.99 a month for the Family Snacks

The Products: In each Naturebox, you will get a selection of five different snacks. With the Family Snacker, I get two bags of each of the five snacks. You can read my past Naturebox reviews here.

Guacamole Bites – Value $4

These were a surprise bonus in my box. I am not sure why I got them, but I was happy nonetheless. These are cornsticks that are flavored with lime and avocado. I would have loved these snacks, except they were way too salty for me (and I love salty snacks!).

Cheddar Pub Pretzels – Value $4 each

I love beer, cheese and pretzels so this was the perfect snack for me! They had a distinct beer flavor which I loved so much. Highly addictive!

Banana Bread Granola – Value $4 each

The granola was nice and banana-y and my daughter loved them! She loved mixing it in her yogurt.

Big Island Pineapple – Value $4 each

I loved these dried pineapple rings! It’s been a while since I’ve had them, so they were a lovely treat. In fact, they were the first to go because everyone kept digging in!

Firecrackers – Value $4 each

Normally, firecrackers are very spicy and are included in the Japanese rice cracker mix. I was disappointed at how bland these were compared to the kind you get in the store.

Far East Rice Crackers – Value $4 each

I put these in my box again because they used to be a staple in my half Pacific Islander household. I was hoping this batch would have a bit more flavor, but like the Firecrackers, they were on the bland side.

Thoughts: This was a pretty good box this month. I found some great snacks and also had the opportunity to try a snack I would not normally choose. I think I might have Naturebox choose my next box so I can be completely surprised – what do you think?

Nature Box Review August 2013 – Healthy Snack Subscription

Nature Box is a healthy snack subscription box and is one of my favorites. The snacks are nutritionist-approved and they actually give you enough snacks to last you the entire month!
The Cost: $29.99 a month, including shipping for the Family Snacker. $19.99 for the standard box.

The Products: The Family Snacker has 10 big bags of nutritionist-approved snacks. You now have the option to choose your snacks after your first box. All you have to do is call the company and they will activate it for you. This feature is still in Beta which is why it is not automatic.

Sunshine Chips – I love my Sunshine Chips. Unlike other “veggie chips” these are completely unprocessed and all-natural. My daughter also loves them and things she is getting a real treat when she eats them!

Honey Nut Medley – These are wonderfully addictive. I should have added more of these to my box.

Whole Wheat Figgy Bars – You have not had a real fig bar until you’ve had these. They have local artisan quality to them. I may never eat another fig bar brand again!

Japanese Rice Crackers – I got these because I grew up with Japanese Rice Crackers and they are a personal favorite of mine. They are low calorie, but really delicious. These were both gone within the day.

Taj Mahal Snack Mix – This was a wonderful treat for me because I’ve been craving curry for ages! This snack reminds me of university when I was living in Chiswick across the street from our local Indian restaurant. Just thinking about it makes me crave their butter chicken and onion bhaji.

Thoughts: I loved the snacks and I especially loved that I was able to pick them out myself. Nature Box is really one of my favorite snack subscriptions because I know everything is safe for my daughter. The portions are generous and last a while. Nature box makes healthy snacking fun and incredibly delicious.

What do you think of Nature Box? If you have not signed up yet, I definitely recommend trying them out! Use code ADDICTION for 30% off your first box!

Naturebox Review July 2013 – Healthy Snack Subscription

Naturebox is perhaps one of the most popular healthy snack boxes around. It was long overdue that I try them out for myself. I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed.

The Cost: $19.99 a month, including shipping for 5 bags. Larger subscriptions are available.

The Coupon: SNACKHEALTHY gets you 50% off your first box of any subscription size.

The Box: Naturebox snacks are their own brand of snacks which are nutritionist approved. Their mission is to help people learn to live healthier lives by helping them make one simply change to their eating habits. The Standard Box has 5 full-sized bags, the Family Box has 10 and the Professional ships out 20 snacks. I decided on the Family Snacker.

This was the first look. I was really pleased with how large the bags were!

I love it when a company’s version of full-sized is even larger than what you thought it would be! Recently, Naturebox started to implement a feature that allows you to choose the snacks you get. Your first box is called the Discover Box and it is some of the favorites that Naturebox has. After that, you can give them a call to activate the choice feature and start planning your next boxes!

South Pacific Plantains – These were really great! Made with only three ingredients, it is wholesome, but packed with flavor. I took these to work with me and munched on them throughout the day. Delicious.

Tart & Tangy Fruit Medley - This was really great. I actually only had a bit of it, but my daughter fell in love and has been asking for it non-stop.

Mango Almond Bites - There was something about these that are strangely addictive. I was not sure if I liked it or not, but I simply could not put it down.

Tuscan Summer Mix - Oh my goodness, this was amazing! It had a great pizza flavor, but without the guilt. This was my favorite snack in this box hands down.

Cherry Crumble Granola - I’ve been using this as topping on my overnight oats and it is fantastic. It has a richness to it, but I can rest easy knowing that it is made only with wholesome ingredients.

Thoughts: I loved the snacks in my Naturebox. This was my first snack box that not only everyone loved, but was also able to last for more than a day. Quite impressive with my household of super snackers. I already picked out what I wanted for my next box and I cannot wait to get it.
