The Bride Box Review October 2013

The Bride Box is the first bridal subscription box of it’s kind. They find the best products to help prepare and inspire you as you plan your wedding and I have always enjoyed their boxes! I was kindly sent The Bride Box to review.

The Cost: $35 a month, including shipping

The Products: You can find several items perfect for your wedding in The Bride Box. Products range from beauty, DIY project, bachelorette prep, organization tools, and more. You can read my past Bride Box reviews to get an idea of what you can expect.

Photo Booth Props – Value $10.50

I think photo booths are so much fun! What I loved most about this is that they also provided us with plain blue cardstock and an accompanying newsletter which had the templates for Halloween-themed props if you weren’t ready to use these or did not have a photo booth planned for your wedding.

The Future Mr and Mrs Thank You Cards – Value $10

I hate to admit it, but I always forget about doing Thank You cards. These are very pretty and simple enough to go with pretty much any theme which I appreciate!

“I Do” sugar Cookie by Cakes by Amanda – Value $1.50

This was a very yummy cookie. It did not crumble like most sugar cookies do and is also not as sweet which I really like. This is definitely a good enough sample for me to want to try out her wedding cakes!

All Occasion Chalkboard Banner Kit – Value $18

This was my favorite item in the box! These are pliable chalkboard squares and you can write any message you want and string it up as a banner. Something like this is really my style and I would definitely incorporate it in my wedding.

Bride to Be Tiffany Box Can Koozie – Value $11.50
I thought this was just so cute! I don’t usually drink things out of a can or bottle, but I have a friend who recently got engaged, so this will make a great gift for her!

Thoughts: This was one of my top favorite Bride Boxes so far, plus the total value was over $50! I cannot wait to try out my banner and play around with the photo booth props! If you haven’t checked out their shop yet, I really recommend taking a look because they have a lot of my favorite items from past boxes available for purchase, plus you can also customize a box using products from past boxes to make your perfect gift for any bridal friends!

The Bride Box Review September 2013 – Wedding Subscription Box

The theme for this month’s Bride Box is Showers of Love. I love that The Bride Box is catered just for brides and have such wonderful new products for us to try. The Bride Box ladies kindly sent me this box to review.

The Cost: $35 a month

The Products: The Bride Box is full of sample and full-sized products that are meant to help inspire you as you plan your wedding, help you celebrate or relax, and just enjoy being a bride! You can read my past Bride Box reviews here.

Rhinestone Infinity Cord Bracelet – Value $18
This infinity bracelet is so pretty in person! I prefer sparkles on my ears rather than my wrists, but this is just too nice to not wear.

Fancie Strands Hair Flower – Value $20

I see this as something I would use in my daughter’s hair at the wedding. I can picture it already, actually! I may have to test it out to see fi she would actually keep it in her hair!

Soap Much Love Handmade Soap - Value $3

When I first looked at the soap, I thought it was some sort of yummy cookies and cream chocolate sample! Luckily, I realized it before attempting to eat it! I looked on the website and this is not the only bit of tempting food/soap they make. In fact, most of their soaps are perfect replicas of some of the most mouth-watering treats you can imagine. I think to be fair to our tastebuds, each order should come with the actual food item… or the soap should be edible. (edible soap… hmm).

Del Sol Color Changing Nail Polish - Value $10
Jenny Bean Candles - Value $5

I actually do not know anything about Del Sol products, but I was so thrilled to see a color changing polish in my box! I’ve been eyeing a few brands, bug have been afraid to make the plunge. The polish goes on sheer, which makes it a perfect top coat. When you go in the sun, it turns bright pink. This is a perfect way to make any nail polish color changing!

I love the scent of this candle. It is very fresh and has a floral/grassy/citrusy combination.
Thoughts: This was a really sweet box this month. I love everything in the box, plus the products are universal enough for non-brides to enjoy as well. From The Bride Box, I’ve been able to discover so many new brands that I’ve fallen in love with and this is why I love them so much.

The Bride Box Review August 2013 – Women’s Subscription Box

The August Bride Box is all about keeping yourself beautiful for your wedding day. The Bride Box was kind enough to send me this box. I’ve been wanting to see what kind of beauty products The Bride Box would include in their subscription box, so I was really happy to hear the theme this month!

The Cost: $35 a month

The Products: The Bride Box subscription box sends out full- and sample-sized products to help prepare you for your wedding day or inspire you as you plan the big day.

Information card. I love that they always have a big selection of products in each box!

The Bride Box Custom Earrings – Value $6?
Willow Tree Minerals Flassless Finishing Veil – Value $4

I was so surprised to learn that The Bride Box is starting to create some of their own products for brides! These earrings would be great for a bride or her wedding party to wear on the big day. I could not find any pricing information on the earrings just yet, so I will update once I find out!

I’ve been needing some finishing powder, so I was really happy to see this in the box!

Revision Skincare Intellishade Original SPF 45 Tinted Moisturizer – Value $1
Zosimos Botanicals in Raspberry – Value $5
Zosimos Botanicals Minipinch Mineral Eyeshadow in Burgundy – Value $3

I think I am a new fan of Zosimos Botanicals! I think it is such a great idea to make mini versions of their products because it is so impractical to have full-sized products on you for touch-ups during your wedding. These minis are perfect to hide in your dress or have a bridesmaid carry.

Apothederm Moisturizing Cream – Value $29
Apothederm Firming Serum – Value $11
Apothederm Hydrating Eye Cream – Value $20
Apothederm Stretch Mark Cream – Value $3

This is a pretty cool skin care set. I never heard of Apothederm, so I am happy to be able to try a set of products and properly gauge how I feel about them!

Tucker Hill Bubble Bath – Value $1.65

It’s been a while since I was able to enjoy a bubble bath. I think I will need to make it a part of my Friday night wind-down!

Hearts Gift Card – Value $15

I never heard of before, but I really love the jewelry and I love that they have a really great agenda even more!

Thoughts: As usual, I am very happy with my Bride Box! I love that these are mostly completely new brands to me. I also love how practical the sizes of the samples are because they are perfect for me to tuck somewhere or have a bridesmaid hold during my wedding in case I need any mid-day touch-ups. That being said, I am probably going to end up using most of these products well before my wedding day!

The Bride Box Review July 2013 – Bride Subscription Box

The Bride Box has been one of my most useful boxes in planning out my wedding. Although I may not include some of the ideas they’ve included in the boxes, they have given me the creative inspiration and excitement I need to keep up momentum! Previous boxes have had mass appeal to most women, but the July box clearly screamed “Bride-to-Be” in the best way possible! This month’s theme was “Last Fling Before the Ring” aka Bachelorette Party!

The Cost: $35 a month, including shipping

The Products: The Bride Box hunts down unique products to help inspire you during your journey toward your wedding day. Products are meant to inspire your wedding planning, aid in organization and also help let you let loose and forget the stresses of wedding planning. Check out what was in the June Bride Box.

I love that each product card comes with some information about the vendors.

Bachelorette Dare-To-Do-It Party Cards – Value $5
Girl’s Night Out Shot Glass – Value $3

These cards have some really fun dares – nothing too rowdy so I can still use them around family (kind of). I will definitely find a way to make it a drinking game with my new shot glass!

Promo Vizion Bride-To-Be Shades – Value $15
The Crafty Vixen Team Bride Sash - Value $16

These are seriously bachelorette must-haves for a fun and goofy night with the girls. I love that the sash has a cute rhinestone pin. When I opened the box, I tried these on over my work clothes and it was so ridiculous and fun!

Sticker Shop Unlimited Bride Glass – Value $12

I love this glass! As you may have seen from my Instagram, I’ve already gotten some use out of it! Just in case you were wondering, it can fit about half a bottle of wine perfectly (I had a very long work week!)

Thoughts: I loved this box! Themed boxes like this are so much, especially with a theme like Bachelorette Party! Hopefully, there will be more boxes like this in the future. I know I say this all the time, but this is definitely one of my favorite boxes Bride Box has done, just for the fun factor alone!

What do you think about The Bride Box? What was your favorite products from the box?

The Bride Box Review and Giveaway June 2013 – Women’s Subscription Box

Just as I was getting home from a very long week at work, I noticed my Bride Box waiting at my door. I was so excited to have something exciting to come home to (besides my daughter, obviously!), especially since my June Bride Box is extra special because it comes with a giveaway to one lucky reader!

The Cost: $35 a month, including shipping

The Products: Sample products from popular vendors to inspire as you plan your big day. This the subscription service for those awesome products you see in magazines and Pinterest and think, “Wow, that would go great with my wedding, but where would I even find this?” Check out my May review.

The theme for June is “Treat Yourself.” Each item is either a product you can use for pampering before the big day, or as sweet treats for you and your guests.

Just at a glance, I was really impressed by the June Bride Box. When I first opened it, some of the products were hidden under the blue packaging, so I had a real fun time going through it and checking for any hidden surprises!

Jen Ramey Designs Wine Charms – Value $6

At first, I thought these were earrings and was confused as to why one said “Mr.” This is yet another example as to why I should read the information cards! Jen Ramsey can customize them, making them good for save the dates or a seating chart/favor combination. She has a few different designs on her website, but I like this particular design because it is simple, elegant and suits my style perfectly.

LL Bridal Designs Stamped Fabric Rose Petals – Value $2 (for 9 petals)
Charmed Hair Ties – Value $10

Like David Tutera, I believe in using real flower in the wedding. That being said, I think something like this, would be a great accent to mix in with the real flowers and I would most certainly consider using these!

I’ve seen hair ties like these around, but I didn’t own any until now. I am totally hooked! The best part is that they are on sale for 20% off at The Bride Box shop.

Beauty Berries Bath Bombs in Lavender – Value $13

These are the perfect aromatherapy just before a wedding to keep you calm. I tried one last night and the scent was subtle and relaxing and made it hard to leave the tub!

Heart Sparklers/Gift Certificate – Value $15
Luxe Lollies in Pear, Rosemary and Champagne – Value – $2

Most people received Heart Sparklers in their box, but since my state forbids sparklers sent through mail, they replaced it with a $15 gift certificate to spend at the Bride Box shop.

I love the unique flavor of the Luxe Lollipop and the fact that you can customize your own to match the theme of your wedding! I spent over an hour on her shop mixing and matching to make the perfect lollipop for my wedding.

In a Jar Organic Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Mix – Value $12

This was my favorite product in the box! I think these are really cute and I love that they are organic and also have gluten-free options! You can also customize the labels to match with your theme. I’ve seen this idea around and it is perfect for a simple party favor.

This was an extra in my box. The wonderful ladies at The Bride Box sent this to me for free because the first necklace I received in the first box was a little too short for me. Talk about wonderful customer service!

Thoughts: In total, I received about $60 in products, not including the necklace, and I paid only $35 for everything. I also have some really great ideas for my wedding and a few treats to save for the days prior to my wedding date. I really love The Bride Box for giving me such wonderful inspiration and keeping me motivated and inspired while preparing for the most special event in my life.

I would also like to thank them for this giveaway. The ladies at The Bride Box were kind enough to give me one of their July boxes to give to one of you! Last month, they gave me a few of the products found in the May box, so it is really exciting to have one of their upcoming subscription boxes for you. The Bride Box May 2013 Review and Coupon + GIVEAWAY!

I came home today to see a wonderful surprise at my door. This is not only my very first bridal subscription service, but it is the only bridal subscription service out there – and this was their very first box they’ve sent out!

I’ve been engaged to my fiancee for what feels like ages and we still haven’t done any planning at all. After seeing this box, all I do now is think about our special day!

 ‘I Do” shoe decal $8

I saw this on Pinterest a few times. You put them on the back of your wedding heels as your “something blue” I’ve been wanting to do this for my wedding so I am so happy to have this!

Mustache and Red lips Chocolate Pops $7

I was so excited to see these. Again, I’ve seen these around and I think they are so cute for a wedding photobooth. By the time I opened the box, I was starving, so my daughter and I ate the mustache already!

Burlap “Love” Banner $35

Sterling Silver “Mrs” Necklace $45

This necklace is even cuter in person! I can’t believe they are handmade! This is definitely my favorite item in the box.

Guinot Gentle Face Exfoliating Cream $4

This is an estimated price. I never heard of this brand before, so I am excited to have it. I just tried it and I did not realize that it gives your face a beautiful shimmery/dewy look. It is definitely a good cleanser to use the day of your wedding for an ethereally fresh face!

Thoughts: Overall, I am very happy with this box. The total value was approximately $99 and I loved everything! It definitely got my wedding fever sparked and I cannot wait to start really planning my wedding!

Now, on to the fun part – Bride Box was nice enough to give me a special coupon code for all my readers and couple of things to giveaway!
