Pumpkin Spice Caramel Bar Soap – Value $6.50

Peppermint Cedarwood Bar Soap – Value $6.50

Both soaps are full-sized! I spent a lot of time testing out both soaps. I think they are both ultra-moisturizing. The Pumpkin Spice one is especially hydrating for your skin. Usually, I feel as though I need to use lotion after washing my hands or getting out of the shower because bar soap can be so drying. With these soaps, I actually felt more moisturized after using it. A few times I even forgot to put on lotion! My only concern is that the scents, especially for the Pumpkin Spice, are not very strong. I was hoping for a more intense scent that would be like a Fall dessert/aromatherapy feel that just was not present.

Ambrosia Salt Scrub – Value $5

This was the perfect exfoliator before my hair removal routine. The salt scrub did the job well without being too abrasive and left my skin soft and feeling moisturized.

Tangy Mint Lip Balm – Value $3

Cleanser – Value $5?

I love that this lip balm is vegan! They make the balm using Candelila wax instead of beeswax The scent was a mix of tangerine and mint which is a lovely combination, but like with the soap, did not have have a very strong scent. The mint was very present, but the tangerine was lost in the mix.

The cleanser works really well as a post-face wash cleaner. I liked using it after I’ve already washed my face, but there still hints of makeup I missed. Again, this product also had a very moisturizing effect after using it!

EucaMint Body Wash – Value $18

This was maybe my favorite product in the box! The scent was strong and you did not need too much of it to work up a decent lather. I love the Eucalyptus/Mint combination in the morning to help wake me up. I don’t see the EucaMint available on their website yet, but when it is, I will have to get a few bottles because it is my new favorite way to begin each day.

Thoughts: I was really impressed by the number of products you get and the fact that everything was full size! I do think some of the products, such as the bar soap and lip balm need a little bit of tweaking to get a more present scent, but other than that, everything was very great quality. If you are really into indie brands, this is definitely a subscription to try out.

Uprising Botanicals Scent of the Month Review – Perfume Subscription Box

In my quest to find more handcrafted and artisan subscription boxes, I discovered Uprising Botanicals which offers a few different subscriptions, one of them being a Scent of the Month club that delivers an organic perfume plus a lotion in the same scent. I approached Jen, the owner, and asked if I could do a review and she kindly said yes!

The Cost: $10 a month, plus $5 shipping

The Products: Each month you will receive a sample of organic perfume and a matching travel size lotion from Uprising Botanicals.

Bergamot and Jasmine Hemp Body Lotion and Spray Perfume

Ever since getting my first hemp lotion from bath and body works, I’ve been in love with the ultra-moisturizing effects of hemp lotions. The scent is not as strong in the lotion, but it is just enough to reinforce the perfume.

I do like the scent itself, it is very natural and does not have that alcohol smell when you spray it like some perfumes have which I like. Since the scent is subtle, I do feel as though I need to reapply every few hours, but when it is paired with the lotion, I do feel as though it lasts longer.

Thoughts: I thought these products were well made and the subscription is definitely worth trying out with you prefer natural products. I just checked their website and they are having a pretty awesome sale on their body lotion, so i think I may try a few of their other products soon!
